"Debunking the Myths, one great TEQUILA at a time"

My first experience with TEQUILA, (Margaritas excluded) was Sauza, TRES GENERACIONES.  I missed the whole bad TEQUILA experience.  I was in my 30's at the time.  My career was in Marketing and event management.

Discovering new TEQUILAS became a hobby, along with mastering the perfect Margarita. I became interested in new TEQUILAS, peaked by finding a 75 year old bottle while clearing my late mothers home. Yes I drank it, words cannot describe that TEQUILA experience. Every trip to Mexico resulted in a few new bottles and a new favorite.

My love and interest continued, i
t grew to a desire to know what TEQUILA was all about. I began a casual study. Reading, acquiring books, visiting Brand and TEQUILA sites on the net. I continued to discover new brands. They were always to enjoy. To me TEQUILA is for savoring, not just collecting.

Five years ago, it became apparent something was happening in this industry. I knew TEQUILA was becoming more popular, drawing a more sophisticated consumer. I found people I shared TEQUILA  info with were enthralled, wanting to know more.  I loved making new converts and sharing new brands, an unofficial ambassador.  A  opportunity to turn what was now a passion into a business emerged.

It was with this in mind that I spent hours daily, studying, researching, enhancing my knowledge. This resulted in regular trips to the Tequila region of Mexico to meet with  brand owners, distillery owners, marketing executives, industry insiders, master distillers and Government agencies. Walking Agave fields with generational Jimadors, sipping Tequila with those that create the magical liquid direct from the barrels, hearing the stories experiencing the entire creation of this amazing Spirit.

Everyone was generous and has continued to be supportive with their time and knowledge.  I realized my learning would be a lifelong process. It is why I enthusiastically return to this lovely place that has captured my soul.

The last two years have been a fantastic experience. I have been able to host Tequila Tastings, Dinners, Seminars and fundraisers in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, the Central Valley and San Diego. My website and blog has continued to attract interest from all over the world, the impressive numbers  grow daily and have been a wonderful surprise.

In September I served as a judge in the Polished Palate's Spirits of Mexico event held in Old Town San Diego, with a prestigious panel of professionals.  In November I recieved
the Certification of "Tequiler" at the first Seminar held in the US by the Academia de Tequila.

The seminar, held entirely in Spanish was held by the President of the Academia.  Currently, I am scheduling the next level 4 day seminar to achieve the Certification of "Catador". This is done in Mexico City and there are only 7 individuals in the US with this Certification.

I made the decision  to dedicate my self along with my marketing and events firm solely to the promotion of TEQUILA. It is said to follow your  passion and success will come..... I say amen to that............

Special heartfelt thanks to those who graciously and generously shared of their time, knowledge and hospitality.
